Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (12-Hour Nights)

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 24-bed Emergency Department serving a diverse patient population including psych, trauma, general medical, sepsis, cardiac, stroke, abdominal pain, and chest pain cases
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4–5, with potential for 1:5–6 with low-acuity patients depending on assignment type
• Perform and assist with RSI, conscious sedation, and management of lines, drains, and tubes
• Document and manage patient care using EPIC EMR (required for all RNs)
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, ER techs, respiratory therapy (24/7), hospitalists (24/7), and mid-level providers
• Participate in weekend rotation (every other weekend) and holiday coverage as needed per unit

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2–3 years of Emergency Room experience in a Level 3 or higher facility (3–5 years preferred depending on assignment type)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC; MOAB/CPI preferred (may be obtained after start)
• EPIC EMR proficiency required
• Proficiency in general ER skills including RSI, conscious sedation, and management of lines, drains, and tubes

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ENPC or ATCN certification as an alternative to PALS or TNCC
• Experience working in a behavioral health or locked psychiatric unit environment
• Familiarity with Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Experience in a high-acuity, high-volume emergency setting with diverse patient types
