Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting
- Perform triage, assessment, and prioritization of patients presenting with a wide range of conditions
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered by the treating physician
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure timely and effective patient outcomes
- Accurately document patient assessments, care provided, and clinical findings in the medical record
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois or a compact license
- Current BLS certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Prior experience in an emergency department or acute care setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with high-acuity and trauma patients in an ED environment
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong critical thinking and ability to perform effectively under pressure
