Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | 3x12 Midshift (12:00 PM – 12:30 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide optimal patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families
• Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems in a high-volume, fast-paced Emergency Room environment
• Coordinate care across interdisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with internal and external contacts
• Demonstrate cognitive and psychosocial competency specific to the patient population served, meeting unit/department age-specific competency standards
• Float to other areas of the organization as needed, up to competency level
• May be required to work weekends, major holidays, call shifts, and one additional shift per scheduling period (every 4 weeks)

Required Qualifications

• Active Nevada RN license required prior to start date
• AHA BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• TNCC certification required
• ENPC or PALS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience
• Prior travel nursing experience of at least one completed 13-week assignment required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center environment
• Comfort working in extremely high-volume, fast-paced emergency settings
• Familiarity with stroke care protocols and trauma patient management
