Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Days 0700–1930 | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, individualized nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including their families and caregivers, throughout the entire episode of care
- Perform ongoing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient responses to health problems utilizing the nursing process
- Demonstrate knowledge of cognitive and psychosocial needs specific to the patient population served and meet age-specific competency standards
- Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams, exercising sound clinical judgment and decision-making in a high-volume, fast-paced emergency environment
- Float to other areas of the organization as needed, up to individual competency level; may be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift per scheduling period (every 4 weeks)
- Maintain TNCC or ENPC or PALS competency standards in alignment with department requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Nevada RN license required prior to start date
- AHA BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- TNCC, ENPC, or PALS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience
- Prior travel nursing experience of at least one completed 13-week assignment required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a high-volume, Level I or Level II trauma center environment
- Familiarity with stroke care protocols and trauma patient management
- Ability to adapt to variable schedules including weekends, holidays, and call shifts
