Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 12-Hour Shifts | Mids/Nights (Start times 1500 or 1900) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department averaging approximately 200 patients per day, serving a diverse population from pediatrics to geriatrics
- Manage high-acuity cases including trauma, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, DKA, respiratory emergencies, and adult psychiatric presentations
- Perform cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV therapy, medication administration including drips, and procedural sedation
- Administer blood products and cardiac medications; TNK administration experience preferred
- Utilize central and bedside telemetry monitoring at the nursing station; complete required Traveler Telemetry Competency prior to start
- Document accurately and efficiently using the Epic electronic health record system
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Washington State
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and CPI/MOAB
- Recent Epic EHR experience required
- Proficiency with Alaris infusion pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
- Traveler Telemetry Competency must be completed and passed prior to start date
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with TNK (tenecteplase) administration
- Background in high-acuity medical and trauma environments, particularly with geriatric and cardiac patient populations
- Familiarity with procedural sedation protocols and advanced cardiac medication management
