    Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room

    Location

    Peoria, IL | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 12-Hour Mid Shifts | Every Other Weekend Rotation | Holiday Rotation Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department serving a broad patient population ranging from newborns to the elderly, including minor to critically ill presentations
    • Manage and titrate a wide variety of drips including vasopressor, cardiac, and antihypertensive medications
    • Recognize and respond to life-threatening cardiac rhythms; interpret monitor strips using Philips monitoring equipment
    • Perform and assist with lab draws alongside ED techs; collaborate with respiratory therapy on ventilator and airway equipment as needed
    • Care for stabilized trauma patients transferred from the trauma bay to a pod setting; work within a team-based model supported by charge nurses and a 24/7 house supervisor
    • Adhere to facility dress code and maintain compliance with a drug-free campus policy
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • ENPC or PALS certification required
    • TNCC or TNS certification required
    • Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for standard contract rates
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 prior travel assignment
    • SANE RN experience preferred
    • Experience working in a teaching hospital with resident physicians preferred
    • Proficiency with vasopressor drip titration and management of critically ill ED patients
