    TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Peoria, Illinois, 61637!

    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room

    Location

    Peoria, IL | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 12-Hour Mid Shifts | Every Other Weekend Rotation

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department serving patients ranging from newborns to elderly, including minor complaints through critically ill presentations
    • Manage and titrate a wide variety of drips including vasopressors, cardiac drips, and antihypertensive medications
    • Recognize and respond to life-threatening cardiac rhythms; interpret monitor strips independently using Philips monitoring equipment
    • Draw and collect labs in coordination with ED techs; collaborate with respiratory therapy on ventilator and airway equipment management
    • Care for stabilized trauma patients transferred from the trauma bay to a pod setting; support charge nurses and specialized trauma team as needed
    • Maintain compliance with a drug-free campus policy and adhere to department scheduling requirements including holiday and occasional float assignments as a help-all
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • ENPC or PALS certification required
    • TNCC or TNS certification required
    • Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for standard contract rates
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Minimum 2 years of emergency department nursing experience
    • At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
    • SANE RN experience
    • Experience working in a teaching hospital environment with residents
