Key Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff
- Coordinate patient care with other disciplines using critical thinking and independent judgment
- Apply professional and supervisory discretion in clinical decision-making within the Emergency Room setting
- Accurately document patient care activities and assessments using Epic EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Current CPR / Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification
- Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months (required); Cerner experience within the last 5 years (required) — each work history entry must identify the charting system used, with dates provided if multiple EMR systems were used at the same organization
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Acute care facility experience
