Description:
The position is for a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Room setting.
The shift schedule is from 19:00 to 07:30.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required, along with TNCC preferred.
EPIC EMR experience is essential.
The candidate must be comfortable providing care to pediatric patients.
Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center is preferred.
Candidates should have experience in trauma, adult/pediatric emergency departments, and pediatrics.
Teaching facility experience is also preferred.
Prior travel experience is expected.
The patient-to-nurse ratio during shifts is 4:1.
The unit typically handles a diverse patient population including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
Daily census is approximately 110% with around 180 visits per day.
The facility operates as a combined adult/pediatric emergency department.
It serves as a designated base station for emergency services.
Special patient diagnoses include trauma, chest pain, respiratory distress, and more.
The unit is supported by various interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
Candidates need to demonstrate various nursing skills, including management of dysrhythmias and care for ventilated patients.
Isolation precautions and triage experience are also important.
