Key Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff
- Coordinate patient care with other disciplines and departments
- Utilize critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment in clinical decision-making
- Accurately document all patient care activities within Epic and maintain compliance with charting requirements during an Epic conversion
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Epic and Cerner experience within the last 5 years; each work history entry must list the charting system used, with dates provided if multiple EMR systems were used at a single employer
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Prior experience in an acute care facility setting
