Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Rapid Response)

Contract | 6-Week Assignment | Expected 48 hours/week | Mid Shift (3:00 PM – 3:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care in a high-volume Emergency Department with 40+ beds and a 4:1 patient ratio (3 rooms and 1 hall bed during high volume)
- Perform IV starts, phlebotomy, and cardiac monitoring and interpretation
- Operate and utilize unit equipment including cardiac monitors, EKGs, ultrasound, Belmont Rapid Infuser, IO Drills, and Lifepak devices
- Document and manage patient care using Meditech EMR
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, team leads, advanced paramedics, and support staff across day and night shifts
- Demonstrate adaptability and strong teamwork in a fast-paced, high-pressure emergency care environment
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- TNCC certification required
- ENPC certification required
- CPI certification required by 9/30
- No time-off requests or special scheduling considerations can be accommodated for this assignment
- Availability to start within 5–7 days of offer
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in a high-pressure emergency or acute care environment
- Background as an RN, Paramedic, or Emergency Medical Technician
- Outgoing, positive demeanor with the ability to perform effectively under pressure
