Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 28-bed Emergency Department with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Perform and assist with emergency procedures including intubation and central line placement
- Operate and monitor equipment including ventilators and Baxter IV pumps
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech Expanse EMR
- Participate in triage and emergency response activities as needed
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including CNCs, medics, and unit secretaries
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Texas or through Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS or ENPC certifications
- Demonstrated emergency response skills and direct patient care experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred
- Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR
- Team-oriented, flexible, and adaptable to a fast-paced emergency environment
