Registered Nurse – Emergency Room
Location
Hagerstown, MD | Acute Care – Level 2 Trauma Center
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity, fast-paced 54-bed Emergency Department averaging 220 patients per day
- Manage and triage a diverse patient population within a Level 2 Trauma Center environment
- Accurately document all patient care activities using EPIC EMR
- Participate in holiday and weekend scheduling as required
- Float to other units in rotation with staff, in accordance with facility policy and Joint Commission standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC; NIH certification required (pending status acceptable)
- EPIC EMR proficiency required
- 2-Step PPD and Flu Vaccine required – no exemptions accepted
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center setting
- Demonstrated ability to perform in a high-volume, fast-paced emergency environment
- Familiarity with Relias or Net Learning online education platforms
