Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Expected 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6-week period | Holidays as needed | No Call
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting during night shift hours
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for ED patients across varying acuity levels
- Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient care
- Float to other campus locations within the health system as operationally needed
- Adhere to unit-based protocols and complete all required orientation modules prior to independent practice
- Participate in holiday coverage as assigned and maintain compliance with all facility requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
- ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — current driver's license required to verify address
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CPI, PALS, and/or TNCC certifications preferred
- Previous experience as a Charge RN preferred
- Level 2 Trauma center experience preferred
