    Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

    Location

    College Station, TX

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Shifts (Day, Night, and Mid Shifts Available)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department averaging 70 patients per day, including cardiac, stroke, pediatric, trauma, and general ER presentations
    • Manage a patient assignment of 1:3–4 depending on acuity, including care of ER holds intermixed within the department
    • Administer and monitor common ER drips including pressors and sedation; troubleshoot respiratory equipment including nasal cannula through ventilators
    • Perform and interpret cardiac monitor strips independently; perform EKGs as required
    • Staff triage and Fast Track areas as assigned; provide care within a Level III STEMI and Stroke Receiving facility
    • Participate in matrix scheduling including every-other-weekend and holiday rotation with permanent staff
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
    • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
    • Must pass the Advanced Dysrhythmia exam at 83% or higher prior to contract start (up to three attempts permitted)
    • Ability to independently read and interpret cardiac monitor strips
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with STEMI, stroke, and pediatric emergency patient populations
    • Familiarity with common ER drips including vasopressors and sedation agents
    • Prior travel nursing experience preferred, though first-time travelers will be considered
