Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Expected 36 hours/week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume emergency department seeing approximately 170 visits per day across 53 rooms/beds
- Manage adult patients presenting with conditions including STEMI, stroke, and Level 2 trauma
- Perform IV starts, triage, telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation as core clinical functions
- Maintain patient ratios: 3:1 non-critical, 2:1 critical, and 5:1 for medical boarders in the ED
- Document and communicate using EPIC, PYXIS, and SBAR frameworks
- Work every other weekend as required; no call or float requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active NC RN license or valid Compact RN license
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience (first-time travelers are accepted)
- Required certifications: TNCC, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, MOAB, and BLS
- Proficiency in IV starts, triage, telemetry, and conscious sedation
- Must pass EKG testing prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills
- ENPC certification
- Prior trauma nursing experience
