    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER) – Nights

    Location

    Bay City, MI | Acute Care – Emergency Department

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Coordinate total nursing care for patients across a newborn-to-geriatric population in a fast-paced emergency department setting
    • Participate in patient and family teaching, ensuring patient rights and privacy are protected throughout care delivery
    • Collaborate cooperatively with ancillary nursing staff and interdisciplinary patient care team members to maintain professional nursing standards
    • Maintain accountability to ethical and professional standards as defined by the ANA Code for Nurses, the ANA Nursing's Social Policy Statement, and applicable state and federal regulatory requirements
    • Adhere to standards set by regulatory agencies including AOA, HCFA Conditions of Participation, and MIOSHA
    • Operate within an expected nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1 and utilize the Paragon EMR system
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience — required
    • ACLS certification required
    • PALS or ENPC certification required (ENPC accepted in place of PALS)
    • TNCC certification required
    • BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
    • Candidates residing within 35 miles of the facility may be subject to a local traveler policy adjustment
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working with a broad patient population ranging from newborn to geriatric
    • Familiarity with the Paragon EMR system
    • Experience in a high-volume emergency department environment
