Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department, with a significant portion of patients being admitted holds
- Administer medications, including IV medications, following the seven medication rights
- Document and communicate clinical findings accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5 within the Emergency Department setting
- Float to Adult PCUs based on staffing needs; optional floating to Pediatric ED; potential floating to ED Holding and Trauma based on experience
- Work scheduled weekend shifts as needed; weekend nights are considered Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (New Mexico license may be pending at time of submission)
- TNCC required prior to submission
- ACLS, BLS, PALS required; NIH may pend until compliance document due date
- RQI certifications are not accepted — standard certifications only
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience required (1.5 years may be considered on a case-by-case basis)
- Must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; non-local driver's license required on file
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred; candidates with 2+ years of Level I Trauma experience may be considered without travel experience
- Level I Trauma center experience preferred
- Familiarity with Cerner charting system
- Experience managing admitted/ED holding patients in a high-acuity environment
