    Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Onsite | 36 or 48 hours per week available

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department, with a significant portion of the patient population consisting of admitted and ED holding patients
    • Administer medications including IV medications in accordance with the seven medication rights
    • Document and communicate clinical findings accurately and in a timely manner
    • Manage admitted hold patients, as approximately 60–80% of the Emergency Department consists of admitted patients
    • Float to Adult PCUs based on staffing needs; optional floating to Pediatric ED, ED Holding, and Trauma as experience allows
    • Work weekends as scheduled; weekend nights are considered Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license (state license may be pending at time of submission)
    • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience (1.5 years may be considered on a case-by-case basis)
    • Active ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required prior to submission (NIH may pend until compliance due date)
    • RQI certifications are not accepted; standard certifications required
    • Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (non-local travelers only; non-local driver's license required on file)
    • Must be available to work 2 out of 3 holiday bundles: Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve & New Year's Day
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred; first-time travelers with 2+ years of Level I Trauma experience may be considered
    • Level I Trauma center experience preferred
    • Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system
