    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume emergency department seeing approximately 180–200 visits per day, serving a patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
    • Manage a patient assignment at a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, performing own lab draws and IV starts
    • Care for a diverse case mix including trauma, CVA, orthopedic, and neurological presentations in a designated CVA center
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including ED physicians, APPs, nurse aides, paramedics, respiratory therapists, pharmacy, and central monitoring techs
    • Manage ventilated patients held in the ED until admission, coordinating with 24/7 dedicated respiratory therapy staff
    • Adhere to department protocols including every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday rotation requirements, Caribbean Blue scrub dress code, and auto lunch deduction policy
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
    • Minimum 5 years of emergency room nursing experience
    • At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
    • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ACLS or NIHSS, and CPI
    • Proficiency with Meditech EMR (version 6.15)
    • Ability to complete floor-specific orientation (2 shifts) within the first week of assignment
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working in a high-volume emergency department with trauma and behavioral health patient populations
    • Familiarity with charge nurse responsibilities in an emergency department setting
    • Experience caring for patients in a department that includes a behavioral health lockdown area staffed by psychiatry
