Operating Room (OR) Circulator Registered Nurse - Night Shift
Job Summary
This is a 13-week contract opportunity for an experienced Operating Room (OR) Circulator Registered Nurse at Adena Health System in Chillicothe, Ohio. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting a diverse range of surgical specialties, including Urology, ENT, Vascular, OBGYN, Cardiothoracic, General, and Acute Care Surgery.
As a Night Shift OR Circulator RN, you will be responsible for ensuring the readiness of the operating suites for the following day's procedures. This includes meticulous preparation of cases, inventory management, and maintaining sterile environments, while also being prepared to respond to urgent and emergent surgical needs that arise during the night.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and necessary equipment for scheduled surgical cases, ensuring all supplies are readily available and in date.
- Perform thorough checks of all surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for upcoming procedures.
- Respond promptly and effectively to urgent and emergent surgical cases, providing expert circulating support.
- Maintain a sterile field and ensure adherence to all perioperative policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and completely.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Recent OR Circulator experience.
- Experience in a multi-specialty surgical environment.
