Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Maryland
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Maryland

Schedule: Four 12-hour shifts per week with 4:1 patient ratios; 6 weekend shifts per contract; holiday and weekend coverage required; 20 hours of orientation provided
Highlights:
- Fast-paced Level 2 Trauma Center with high acuity emergency department serving an average of 220 patients daily
- 54-bed emergency department with combined adult and pediatric patient populations including neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- EPIC electronic medical record system utilized throughout the facility
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
- One-year travel assignment with opportunity for extension after a 90-day separation period
- STEMI and Stroke Certified Facility with advanced trauma and critical care capabilities
Requirements:
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department nursing experience required
- At least 1 year of travel nursing experience in emergency department settings required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale (pending certifications acceptable at time of submission)
- EPIC charting system experience required
- Current 2-step PPD, COVID-19 vaccine, and flu vaccine required with no exemptions
- Must reside outside 50-mile local radius; local candidates not accepted
- Proficiency in critical emergency skills including dysrhythmia management, trauma care, procedural sedation, ventilator management, IV vasopressors, blood product administration, and central line care
