Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Maryland

Start Date: October 2026

Location: Maryland

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with weekend coverage (6 weekend shifts per contract period); 4:1 patient ratio across all shifts; orientation includes 20 hours plus required online training modules

Highlights:
  • High-volume Emergency Department with 54 beds and average daily census of 220 patients
  • Level II Trauma Center with high-acuity patient population including stroke and STEMI certified services
  • All age groups treated: neonates through geriatrics in a combined adult/pediatric emergency setting
  • Epic electronic medical record system utilized facility-wide
  • One-year travel assignment with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and social services
  • Fast-paced environment with diverse case mix including trauma, CVA, procedural sedation, and critical care
Requirements:
  • Active RN license in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
  • At least 1 year of travel nursing experience required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale (or pending completion acceptable)
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Required vaccinations: 2-step PPD, influenza, and COVID-19 (no exemptions accepted)
  • Proficiency in critical emergency nursing skills including IV vasopressors, blood product administration, central line management, ventilated patient care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and procedural sedation
