Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: South Dakota

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 hours per week with rotating day/night shifts and every other weekend. Day shifts: 0630-1900; Night shifts: 1830-0700. On-call requirement: 5 shifts per 6-week schedule (must respond within 40 minutes). Straight nights or straight weekend options may be available.

Highlights:

  • Critical Access Hospital setting with 11 licensed beds serving a close-knit community
  • Dual responsibility across Med-Surg and Emergency Department to maintain clinical competence in both settings
  • Typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 to 1:5
  • EPIC electronic charting system with comprehensive site-specific orientation during first week
  • On-call shifts available seven days per week for trauma, transfers, and surge staffing
  • Navy blue scrubs provided as professional dress code

Requirements:

  • Active South Dakota or Compact RN License (or willingness to obtain)
  • 2+ years of Med-Surg and Emergency Department experience, or Critical Access Hospital/small hospital float experience
  • Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and TNCC certifications required
  • Ability to badge in and out at facility as required
  • Must be available for on-call response within 40 minutes when scheduled
