Description

Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Kansas

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Topeka, Kansas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 hours per week, 13-14 week assignment. Shift options available starting at 3:00 PM or 7:00 PM. Weekend rotation and holiday rotation required. No on-call or call-back requirements.

Highlights:
  • 34-bed Emergency Department at a Level II Trauma Center
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Contract length: 13 or 14 weeks based on candidate availability
  • Guaranteed 36 hours per week with structured shift times
  • Fast-paced, high-acuity environment requiring strong critical care skills
  • Additional compensation available for candidates with MOAB or CPI certification at time of submission
Requirements:
  • Active Kansas RN license or valid multistate compact license
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through American Heart Association required
  • TNCC, NIHSS, and MOAB or CPI certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required; 4 years preferred
  • Must have prior travel nursing experience (first-time travelers cannot be considered)
  • Clean license and background check with no exceptions
  • All certifications and licenses must be current and verified at time of application
