Job Summary

This is an exciting 13-week travel contract opportunity for an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) in Aberdeen, Washington. The facility is located close to the scenic Pacific Northwest beaches and the Olympic National Forest, offering a unique blend of professional challenge and natural beauty.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive, high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced, critical care environment within the Emergency Department. This role requires a dedicated professional capable of independent decision-making and collaborative teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, for patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist with procedures as per physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions, interpret diagnostic data, and respond effectively to changes in patient status.
• Collaborate with physicians, other nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records.
• Educate patients and their families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients.

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
• Current National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Completion of an approved 6-hour suicide training.
• Verification of demographics from Nursys.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Meditech Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
