Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,376 per week in Rochester, NY

Job Title: ER Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 12 hours (15:00 - 03:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year License: NY license required in hand to submit Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have: - RNs need to have mandatory competency with phlebotomy and placing IVs as these are required skills. - Experience in general emergency department settings with a focus on combined adult/pediatric care. - Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias. - Experience in blood product administration and central line care. - Proficient in emergency medications, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation administration. Description: The position is for an ER Registered Nurse. The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment managing a diverse patient population. Patient care includes managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure. Nurses will perform phlebotomy and start IVs as part of routine care. There are expectations to float when the census warrants. Every other weekend is required. The ratio of nurses to patients is 1 to 5 with mixed/shared acuity levels. Epic experience is preferred for charting. This unit sees a daily census of approximately 64 patients with 145 visits per day. Interdisciplinary support includes services from pharmacy and social services among others. Candidates will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis regarding background policies.
