Contract | 36–48 Hours per Week | Rotating Shifts (Days, Evenings, Nights) | Includes Weekends, Holidays, On-Call, Callback, and Charge Duties per Unit Needs | 17-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, fast-paced Adult Emergency Department managing more than 100,000 visits annually
- Assess, triage, and treat a diverse patient population across a wide range of emergency and trauma presentations
- Support care of boarder patients as needed within the department
- Perform telemetry monitoring and interpretation as part of ongoing patient assessment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams within one of the country's busiest Level I trauma centers
- Float and assume charge nurse responsibilities per unit needs
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license — NY license required
- Minimum of two (2) years of Emergency Department experience
- Previous travel nursing experience in an Emergency Department setting required
- Telemetry experience required
- BLS certification through American Heart Association only
- ACLS certification through American Heart Association only
- NIHSS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a Level I trauma center or similarly high-acuity environment
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to fast-paced, high-volume emergency settings
