Job Title: RN Emergency Room Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 08:00 AM - 08:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, TNCC, NIH Certification, CPI/MOAB Must-Have: Traveler must be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance. A basic dysrhythmia test will be given during orientation. This test must be passed to work in the Emergency Department. Description: The Emergency Room RN is responsible for identifying patient needs and priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting. Is able to triage safely, rapidly, and accurately every patient that enters the emergency care system. RNs coordinate care between other professional disciplines as needed. While the traveler will not be part of a regular call rotation, they may occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census. If called in, the traveler is expected to respond and arrive on-site within one hour. Every other holiday rotation is required. Every third weekend is required. A basic dysrhythmia test will be given during the first week of the assignment. This test must be passed to work in the Emergency Department.
