Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Services Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Valid state nursing license required at the time of submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA only), MAB, NIH Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience - No new grads or first-time travelers - History of extended assignments preferred - Experience treating adult and pediatric patients Description: This position is for an Emergency Room Registered Nurse in a fast-paced emergency department. Candidates are required to have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, specifically in an emergency setting. Travelers with a history of cancellations will not be accepted. No new graduates will be considered. Candidates with only pediatric experience will also not be accepted. Travelers with clinical terms will not be considered. Travelers must live more than 50 miles away from the facility. The facility utilizes Omnicell medication systems and Meditech documentation systems. Provider support includes interpretation services, lift teams, pharmacy, phlebotomy, physical therapy, radiology, respiratory services, social services, and unit secretaries. Provider coverage includes intensivists, nurse practitioners, hospitalists, and anesthesiologists. The minimum weekend coverage requirement is every other weekend. A variety of patients will be treated, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. This role includes working with patients with a range of diagnoses and conditions, including trauma and critical care.
