Description:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Room services.
The role involves working in a fast-paced emergency department.
Candidates must have a solid foundation in emergency nursing principles and practices.
Experience with combined adult and pediatric care is essential.
The nurse will provide care for various emergency situations and patients, including those with traumatic injuries or critical conditions.
Required competencies include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, central line care, IV initiation and management, and ventilated patient care.
Other requirements include the ability to manage IV sedation, administer vasopressors, and carry out triage procedures.
Knowledge of isolation precautions and emergency protocols is essential.
Preferred skills include arterial line management, procedural sedation administration, and phlebotomy.
Candidates should also be familiar with the management of neuro-trauma, head injuries, and traumatic brain injuries.
The position requires participation in weekend coverage, with a minimum of every other weekend required.
Other interdisciplinary support is available, including pharmacy, respiratory services, and social services.
The nursing team will benefit from robust provider support, including Intensivists, Nurse Practitioners, Clientists, and Anesthesiologists.
