Description

Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), 36 hours per week. Every other weekend required. No call or float requirements.

Highlights:
  • Contract length up to 20+ weeks through February 27, 2027, providing excellent coverage through the holiday season
  • High-volume emergency department with approximately 170 visits per day in a 53-bed unit
  • Exposure to diverse patient population including STEMI, stroke, and Level 2 trauma patients
  • Patient ratios: 3:1 non-critical, 2:1 critical patients, 5:1 medical boarders
  • Epic EMR system with Pyxis and SBAR protocols
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
  • Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license)
  • Required certifications: TNCC, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, MOAB, and BLS
  • Required skills: IV start, triage, telemetry, and conscious sedation
  • Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
  • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
  • Preferred: ENPC certification and trauma experience
