Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Holding Registered Nurse – Ohio
Start Date: October 19, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week. 4:1 patient ratio across all shifts. Patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily census of 32 beds.

- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required with ER and ER Holding background
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
Requirements:
- Current RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Emergency Department experience required
- ER Holding experience required; Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience preferred
- Preferred experience with Trauma Level I and II settings
- Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- 2 professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership capacity)
- Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
Key Clinical Skills:
- Cardiac telemetry and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Arterial line and central line management
- Blood product administration and IV insulin protocols
- Management of cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Ventilated patient care and non-invasive airway management
- BiPAP/CPAP management and High Flow Nasal Cannula
- IV placement and PICC line management
- Care of CVA, seizure disorders, and traumatic brain injury patients
- Wound care and surgical drain management
