Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience required. License: Valid nursing license required. Certifications: BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Must-Have: Minimum of 1 year of travel experience required. Oncology experience is preferred, but not required. EPIC experience is required. Description: The Emergency Department is seeking a Registered Nurse for a specialized unit designed to cater to the urgent needs of cancer patients. This position involves working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment while providing essential emergency care. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 1:4. The role requires proficiency in IV starts and telemetry monitoring. Candidates must demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills. Floating to different areas of the department is required. Daily tasks will also involve the implementation of emergency protocols and procedures. This position may involve care for adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Participation in interdisciplinary support teams will be necessary. Please note that strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations are crucial for success in this role.
