Job Opportunity – Emergency Room Holding Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week. Patient ratio 1:4. Coverage across multiple patient age groups including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily census of 32 patients.

  • First-time travelers welcome with minimum 2 years of nursing experience
  • Epic charting system preferred; comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and physical therapy
  • Diverse case mix across all patient age groups with opportunity to utilize advanced skills including cardiac monitoring, vasoactive drip management, and procedural sedation
  • Trauma Level I and II experience preferred; exposure to complex acute care patients
  • Comprehensive orientation and support from experienced nursing team
Requirements:
  • Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
  • MUST have Emergency Room experience; ER Holding and Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience strongly preferred
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
  • Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
  • Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
  • Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor
  • Completion of Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
