Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Central Texas

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Austin, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 13-week contract | 12-hour shifts, 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM | Rotating weekends | No on-call requirements

Highlights:
  • High-volume Level I trauma center Emergency Department with 48 private rooms plus additional hallway stretchers and dedicated fast track area
  • Patient ratios: 1:4 general ED, 1:5 behavioral health, 1:3 cardiac/trauma
  • EMR system: MEDITECH
  • Collaborative team environment with 111+ ED staff members including dedicated charge nurses, PCTs, paramedics, and LVNs
  • Comprehensive case mix including trauma, cardiac, behavioral health de-escalation, central lines, airway management, and resuscitation procedures
  • Active unit-based council and social committee fostering strong team culture
Requirements:
  • Current Texas RN license or compact state license
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS
  • CPI certification preferred
  • Previous trauma and emergency department experience required
  • Experience holding inpatient patients preferred
  • MEDITECH experience strongly preferred
  • Must wear navy blue scrubs
