Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Emergency Center Duration: 17 Weeks Shift: 12H Evenings Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Valid RN License Certifications: - BLS - ACLS - PALS - TNCC - ASLS or NIHSS - CPI Must-Have: - 5+ years of experience - Experience in travel assignments - MEDITECH experience Description: This position requires adherence to a 75-mile radius rule. The driver's license address must be submitted for consideration. Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience and at least one travel assignment. MEDITECH experience is required. All travelers must hold certifications in TNCC and CPI. The unit handles approximately 180-200 patient visits per day. The emergency center has a 6-bed behavioral lockdown area staffed by psychiatric professionals. There is a weekend requirement of every other weekend and holidays every other. Nurses provide their own lab draws and IV starts. A dedicated respiratory therapist is available 24/7 for patient management. Pharmacy services are available 24/7. The work environment includes a variety of patients from pediatrics to geriatrics. Common diagnoses include trauma, neuro, and orthopedic cases. Certain cases may require transfer to higher-level care facilities. Candidates are expected to complete orientation requirements during the first week of employment. Caribbean blue scrubs are the designated uniform color. Charting is performed using the MEDITECH system.
