Exciting Opportunity: Contract Nurse Navigator/Charge - ED (780) - 9A-9P - 13 Weeks** **Job Description:** - **Unit Information:** - Location: Live Oak (San Antonio), Texas - Address: 12412 Judson Road, Live Oak, TX 78233 - Floor: 1st - Building: Main Building - **About the Unit:** - Number of Beds: 48 headwalls, with approximately 25 additional treatment spaces - Staff: Approximately 80 dedicated professionals - Team Composition: - Day Shift: Charge Nurse, Flow Navigator, RN, Paramedic, ED Tech, Unit Clerk - Night Shift: Charge Nurse, Flow Navigator, RN, Paramedic, ED Tech, Unit Clerk - Patient Ratios: Acuity Based - Equipment: Emergency/Trauma/Critical Care – GE/Stryker/Plum 360 - EMR: Meditech - **Ideal Candidate Profile:** - **Must Have Skills:** - Strong clinical and rapid patient assessment skills - Ability to recognize changes in condition; critical thinking - Effectiveness in a fast-paced environment - **Preferred Skills:** - Experience in a Level 1 or 2 Trauma Center - 2+ years in a high-volume Emergency Department - **Typical Procedures Performed:** - Moderate sedation, RSI, CPR, PIV/IO, splinting, EKG, blood transfusion, TNK administration - Cardiac monitoring, stroke assessment, trauma assessment, resuscitation, sepsis workups - **Personality Fit:** - Self-motivated team player - **Required Certifications:** - TNCC, ENPC or PALS, ACLS, BLS, CPI - **Dress Code:** - Scrub Color: Navy - **Unit Guidelines/Policies:** - Shift starts 15 minutes prior to scheduled time - Come prepared to clock in, receive huddle, and assume patient care - No food or drink in patient care areas - Personal bags not allowed in patient care areas - Teamwork is essential; all hands on deck - Must clock out/in for a full 30-34 minutes for lunch each shift - **Weekends and On Call:** - N/A **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
