Description:
The role involves providing care to patients in an emergency room setting.
Nurses will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing patient care.
The typical patient ratio is 1:4-6.
Weekend coverage includes every other weekend, with a total of 6 weekend shifts in each 6-week schedule.
The nurse will treat a variety of conditions, including abdominal pain, asthma, and drug overdose.
Skills in managing ventilated patients, intubation, and administration of emergency medications are required.
Staff will collaborate with interdisciplinary support services to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Mental health and behavioral conditions will also be part of the nurse's responsibilities.
The position requires a strong ability to assess and respond to urgent medical situations.
