TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Leonardtown, Maryland, 20650!

Emergency Room RN Registered Nurse Emergency Room 13 weeks Night 3x12 Hours (18:45 - 07:15) Minimum 2 years of experience required Licensure required Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS Description: Emergency Room RN orientation is conducted every Monday. Shifts are 3x12 during the night. Minimum patient ratio is 1:4-6. Candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setup. Candidates must have completed at least one travel assignment. Experience with charting systems, specifically Cerner, is required. Weekend coverage is needed every other weekend, with six weekend shifts in each six-week schedule. Candidates are expected to account for the following skills: General Emergency Department care for combined adult and pediatric patients. Experience with a variety of emergency situations, including but not limited to: Abdominal pain, acute psychosis, gunshot wounds, and head injury management. Candidates must be capable of managing ventilated patients and administering blood products. Knowledge of EKG interpretation and IV management is essential. Familiarity with trauma levels I and II is preferred. Candidates should also be comfortable managing psychiatric holds and triaging patients. The patient demographic includes neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The daily census is approximately 120 patients. This role involves working with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. No requested time off is permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment. References from two supervisors, including one from the most recent assignment, are required. Candidates need to meet compliance requirements and complete necessary training modules upon hire. Nurses with previous employment within the past year are not eligible to apply for this position.
