Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform rapid and comprehensive patient assessments upon arrival, identifying immediate and ongoing care needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
  • Monitor patient vital signs, interpret diagnostic test results, and recognize changes in patient condition.
  • Initiate and manage life-saving interventions for critically ill or injured patients, including advanced cardiac life support.
  • Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
  • Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions to promote understanding and compliance.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Maintain a sterile environment and adhere strictly to infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infection.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent, acute care experience within an Emergency Department setting.
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.
