Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Assignment

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in the fast-paced Emergency Services Department at a facility located in Cumming, Georgia. This role is critical in providing immediate, high-quality care to a diverse patient population presenting with acute illnesses and injuries.

The successful candidate will be a vital member of the emergency care team, responsible for rapid assessment, triage, stabilization, and treatment of patients across all age groups. This position requires a commitment to delivering compassionate care in a high-pressure environment, collaborating effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Please note: This is a travel assignment; candidates residing within 50 miles of Cumming, Georgia, will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform rapid and comprehensive patient assessments, including triage, to determine the urgency of care required.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians, monitoring patient responses and adjusting care plans as needed.
  • Assist with emergency procedures, wound care, and stabilization techniques for critically ill or injured patients.
  • Operate and monitor various medical equipment, including cardiac monitors, IV pumps, and oxygen delivery systems.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and patient responses.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff, adhering to all infection control and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia or a compact state license.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent, acute care experience specifically within an Emergency Department setting.
  • Ability to commit to a 13-week travel assignment.
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Cumming, Georgia.
