Travel Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Travel Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment in a dynamic Labor & Delivery unit in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is crucial in providing comprehensive care to expectant mothers, laboring patients, and new mothers, as well as their neonates.
The successful candidate will manage a diverse patient population, including those with high-risk pregnancies such as preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and preterm labor. You will play a vital role in monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, assisting with the labor and delivery process, and ensuring immediate postpartum recovery in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients.
- Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, progress of labor, and postpartum recovery.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Assist physicians during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum procedures.
- Educate patients and families on childbirth, newborn care, and postpartum recovery.
- Manage patients with high-risk conditions including preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and preterm labor.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia or compact state license.
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent, acute care experience in a Labor & Delivery unit.
- Ability to travel and reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility for the duration of the assignment.

Shift Details
- Shift Type: Night shift (NOC)
- Hours: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Shift Duration: 12 hours
- Days per Week: 3 shifts per week
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- End Date: January 16, 2027
- Holiday Requirements: Must work two (2) major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and one (1) minor holiday (The Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve) if they fall within the contract period.

Licensing Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia or compact state license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

- Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM) or Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (IFM) certification from AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses).
