**Job Description:**
- **Location:** 7700 Floyd Curl Dr, 1st Floor, Main Building
- **Unit Overview:**
- **Number of Beds:** 86
- **Staffing:** 105 dedicated professionals
- **Day Shift:** 7 RNs + CNC; peak hours bring in 18-20 RNs
- **Night Shift:** 6-7 RNs + CNC
- **Patient Ratios:** Acuity-based; typically 4:1, with flexibility during surges
- **Equipment:** Standard ER tools
- **EMR:** Meditech
- **Key Skills Required:**
- Expertise in caring for an acute population
- Experience with Meditech
- Positive and energetic attitude
- Exceptional communication skills
- **Preferred Skills:**
- Trauma center experience
- **Common Procedures Performed:**
- **Airway & Respiratory:**
- Oxygen administration, suctioning
- Endotracheal tube management
- Ventilator initiation & monitoring
- CPAP/BiPAP setup
- **Vascular Access:**
- Peripheral IV insertion
- Central line assistance
- Blood specimen collection
- **Trauma & Emergency Procedures:**
- Trauma assessments, hemorrhage control
- Chest tube management
- Pediatric emergency procedures
- **Advanced Critical Care Skills:**
- Massive transfusion protocols
- Cardiac monitoring
- ACLS resuscitation
- **Additional Skills:**
- Manage sepsis alerts
- Conduct patient education
- Coordinate patient transfers
- **Personality Traits:**

- **Required Certifications:**
- ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC, ENPC, NIH, CPI
- **Dress Code:**
- Navy blue scrub tops, bottoms, and jackets
