Wellspring Nurse Source is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Salem, Massachusetts.

Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview:

The Emergency Department (ED) is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses (RN) to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced 65-bed environment. The ED includes a separate pediatric pod and an Acute Mental Health area, catering to a diverse patient population.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time positions available: 36 or 48 hours per week
  • Nights and Every Other Weekend (EOW) required
  • Rotating shifts may be requested, including day rotations (7a-7p, 11a-11p)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient assessments and documentation
  • Administer IVs and phlebotomy
  • Conduct EKGs and monitor cardiac activity
  • Utilize point-of-care testing and implement appropriate interventions
  • Apply splints as necessary and provide patient education
  • Exercise critical thinking in emergency situations
  • Floating to ED Observation, Acute Medical Unit (AMU), and ED Psych Observation as required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Nursing
  • General ED nursing skills are essential
  • Certifications: AHA Certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
  • NRP and TNCC certifications are strongly preferred

Patient Care:

  • Clinician to Patient Ratio: 1:4
  • Daily Census: Approximately 230 visits

Charting System:

  • Experience with Epic – ASAP is preferred
