Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary experience and certifications to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

The Emergency Department is equipped to handle a wide range of medical conditions, providing care for patients across all age groups. The role involves working with various patient diagnoses, including but not limited to:

  • Stroke
  • Sepsis
  • Trauma
  • Myocardial Infarction (MI)
  • Cardiac Arrest
  • Respiratory Failure

As a part of the nursing team, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment
  • Utilizing specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
  • Assisting in the triage and management of patients
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
  • Floating between units as required

Qualifications

The candidate must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting
  • Experience with pediatric patients is considered an asset
  • Current AHA certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
  • Active RN licenses with verification through NURSYS
  • Experience with EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including night shifts
