Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Emergency Room care. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced, high-volume environment catering to patients of all age ranges, from infants to geriatrics.

Shift Details

  • Night Shift: 3x12 or 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30)
  • Block scheduling is available

Contract Details

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks, with the possibility of extension up to 20 weeks for candidates with strong experience

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room.
  • Assess patients' conditions and develop care plans in conjunction with the healthcare team.
  • Monitor and document patient progress and respond effectively to changes in their condition.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
  • Participate in emergency procedures and protocols as required.
  • Float within the specialty as needed to meet staffing needs.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state.
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, and CPI required.
  • 2 years of Emergency Room experience preferred, but strong candidates with less experience may be considered.
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Work Schedule

  • Required to work every other weekend.
  • Holidays as scheduled.

Patient Care Environment

  • Average Daily Census: 130
  • Number of Beds: 47
  • Staff-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4
