Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift position. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

  • Shift: Night 3x12 hours (19:30 - 08:00)
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Schedule: Every other weekend required, holidays as scheduled

Patient Care Overview

  • Patient Ratio: 1:4, up to 5 with a lower acuity patient group
  • Average Daily Census: 140
  • Bed Count: 46
  • Patient Age Group: All age ranges
  • Common Diagnoses: Chest Pain, Stroke, Sepsis, Cardiac Arrest, Trauma, Respiratory Illness, Respiratory Arrest

Required Qualifications

  • 3 years of RN experience required; travel experience preferred, but first-time travelers with 5+ years will be considered
  • Experience with the EPIC charting system is mandatory
  • Valid RN license for the state of Maryland
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, CPI, and TNCC

Special Equipment Utilized

  • Belmont in trauma
  • Giraffe warmer for neonates
  • Rapid infuser
  • Lucas for cardiac arrests

Additional Information

Floating within the specialty may be required as needed.
