Job Summary:
The Emergency Room (ER) registered nurse (RN) position is based in an acute care facility, providing critical care to patients in a fast-paced environment. This assignment offers an opportunity to work within a dedicated healthcare team, delivering high-quality emergency care over a scheduled period of 16 to 26 weeks. The position requires flexibility to meet the needs of the unit and patient care.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Evening shift from 3:00 PM to 3:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) (must be active or proof of class prior to start), and NY state license or proof of application with applied date (processing time of 6-8 weeks). Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience from within the past two years is required. Minimum one year of ER or specialty experience preferred.
  • Additional Information: This assignment is scheduled for 16-26 weeks, with start date on 10/19/2026 and end date on 04/18/2027. The schedule includes working from Monday to Sunday, with no block schedules. Orientation sessions are bi-weekly on Mondays. All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained, and complete work history information is required for submission.
  • Travel and Float: Travel is not required; float rotation is not required.
  • Other Requirements: Prior travel experience and charge nurse experience are preferred. Reliable personal transportation is strongly recommended due to limited public transit options, and vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during the months of November through April.
