Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for our Emergency Room (ER) team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment, focusing on adult patients with various medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients experiencing emergencies.
• Perform IV starts, triage, telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation as per protocols.
• Manage patient flow effectively, ensuring timely assessment and treatment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in orientation and training programs to maintain competency.

Contract Details:

• Contracts available: 20+ weeks and 13 weeks up to February 27, 2027.
• Shift: 12-hour nights from 18:45 to 07:15.
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
• Call Requirement: No call; Float Requirement: No float.

Patient Care Ratios:

• Non-Critical Patients: 3:1 (4:1 during peak times).
• Critical Patients: 2:1.
• Medical Boarders in ED: 5:1.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Certifications: TNCC, ACLS, NIH, MOAB, BLS.
• Skills: IV start, triage, telemetry, and conscious sedation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Skills: ENPC.
• Preferred experience in trauma care.

Additional Information:

• Patient Diagnoses: Includes STEMI, Stroke, and Level 2 trauma patients.
• Average patient volume: ~170 visits per day, with 53 rooms/beds available.
• Unit systems utilized: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR.
• Orientation duration: 36 or 48 hours.
• Scrubs: Navy Blue.
